About Dave Hughes
Hi! I’m Dave Hughes, a highly experienced Drum Kit teacher based in York, UK. I graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire in 2007, and since then have worked as a professional musician, playing gigs across the world in all sorts of settings, and teaching in a variety of educational establishments, from State Schools to SEN Provision, and Universities to Independent Schools, two of which I’m currently the Drum Teacher in. I’m more than happy to work with students on their journey to guide them through exams, or learning songs by ear, or some of both! We cover the various techniques required to be a competent drummer and also explore life as a gigging musician in case this is a path they may which to go down!

Lesson prices
I require at least 24 hours notice of intention to cancel a lesson. If this 24 hour period is given, then the lesson will be waived with no charge. If notice is given after this point then the full cost of the lesson is charged.
